It’s the long weekend, and you can probably already guess that I’m gonna tell you to stay inside and watch anime. Almost every show decided to take this hectic week before another academic year to go full on crazy.
I’ve got a busy week coming up, so there will be some delays on episode reviews, but it’ll all be in by next week’s reaction post! As per usual, be sure to click on the episode titles to read the full review and check out all the screenshots!

Dragon Ball Super 56 “Rematch With Goku Black! Enter Super Saiyan Rosé“ – Here we have the continuation of the arc that we’ve all been waiting for. Trunks, Goku, and Vegeta (poor guy) return to the future to take care of Black and save an already pretty much screwed timeline! At least Mai is still alive to save. At this point they should really just bring her back to the good timeline. Screw the resistance! Great fights between our heroes and Black, including a strange new saiyan form for some reason. And with the revelation that Black and Zamasu are different people, what’s going to happen next!? Oh good ol’ Dragon Ball.
Episode Score: 9.1/10 (Great)
Re:Zero 22 “A Flash of Sloth” – Well that was a quick end to Betelgeuse – or was it? He’s got some pretty interesting (as in the same as him) minions, and they’re not giving up any time soon. More keeps being said about these sins and pride and stuff, but it really doesn’t further what we already know about Subaru and the witch’s scent that much. Sure, he’s her minion in some form, what else is new? What I do know is that those little fox/dog things are the cutest, and Emilia probably isn’t going to be so happy to house train them. Oh, I mean find out that Subaru has done all of her diplomacy work behind her back and probably screwed everything up. Good work Subaru, as always!
Episode Score: 7.7/10 (Good)

Mob Psycho 100 – 08 “The Oldest Brother Bows ~Destructive Intent~” – Now this is the action I’ve been waiting for. The choreography (yes I’m calling it that) was fantastic, and the prospect of more adult espers with this kind of power to challenge Mob is just way too exciting. We definitely learned not to mess with Mob’s brother, because that shoots his emotional meter up at a blistering pace. And at the end of the day, this isn’t just a crazy action extravaganza, there’s some real weight to the story. Can’t wait to see where this goes. There’s not much else to be said other than you should be watching this series.
Episode Score: 9.8/10 (Amazing)

91 Days 08 “Behind the Curtain” – Every time I start up this show, I really want it to be more like the OP. And then as I watch it, I love the pacing and Godfather style direction. The reason it’s probably still working so well is that things actually happen each episode. Like a kind of prohibition-era Code Geass, this series really needs to have a good twist or shake-up each week, and this one was the best yet. Not sure how Corteo will spin this story, if he can at all. As for Avilio’s plot, I would assume this could be both helpful and hindering, depending how you look at it.
Episode Score: 8.7/10 (Very Good)
No extras this week. Hope you had a great long weekend! I spent it playing WoW: Legion instead of watching anime… see you next time!
